If played on the same hardware as the other top programs, I (speculate) that it will be number 1. Some people think Chess tiger will be number 1 for many lists to come, once other programs learn how chess tiger plays then it will be like any other program that it will eventually be picked apart and start to lose. This is where the power of the king engine will once again take over, WHY ??? I put it down to its opening book. Strange openings which many other programs do not cover but CM6K seems able to handle. This will always make it a champion over the rest. It rules the 200MMX machines for the past 2 lists, it will rule the 450 machines if ever given a chance. I have seen it screw Rebel 10 and Shredder2 early in games when it used some opening which they do not seem to handle to well. This is not always the case but has happened in my games. Chess Tiger Maybe No1 for now, but once the engine is out to the mass chess market, there will be holes found, engines will be tuned, and CM6K on any hardware will be better than the rest. Sad that Johann did not bring out a new engine. CM6K has to now take on upgraded versions of just about every other program. And still it will win. Just remember, I and maybe a couple of other people predicted the power of CM6K against all odds. Take away the 450 machines and CM6K would be still screwing people who said it would only be around 5th or 6th on the 200MMX machines compared to the other programs. Some people still do not realise that the interface has very little to do with the power of an engine. So yes CM6K on the mac would rule as number 1, it pretty much rules now anyway
