well if you really want to know the answer here it is .people want to play a program who's moves are pleasing to the eye .maybe they want to play a program that shows some knowledge of positional play .myself i have a different view . i believe that these tactical monsters if they can look deep enough can turn tactics into strategy .strategy ie human like play ,i maintain are one and the same ,just wearing a different set of clothes .i still believe chess is chess if you are strong it does not matter what your style of play is .if they wanted me to program a computer to play more human like , here is what i would do .i would every move generate a random number between 1-75 if the random number was say 44 then i would put chess vision at 75% to simulate a human blunder factor. .next after 20 games in a row i would auto put vision at 95% to simulate getting tired .if the program lost 3 games in a row i would switch engines and opening books to simulate a human changing strategy .if the program won 4 games in a row then i would put vision down to 90% to simulate it taking its oppenet lightly.if it lost a game i would auto put vision at 100 % to simulate how a human tries harder vs stronger player .
