I thought the >>>comments were accurate, and show why I think they are accurate. the reason i think crafty is on par with Fritz , hiarcs is because of all the engine matches that i have done .fritz 6 i would have to say never gets a bad result .fritz 6 may be the best engine you can put in chessbase ,i dont know if fritz 6 is as strong as cm6000 ??? but i can say fritz 6 is stronger than fritz 5.32 , fritz 4.01 ,fritz 3 ,but than it should be .just like the newer versions of crafty are better than the old .i would not even take notice if someone said crafty is not the best program .because who really knows which is best .but to say the latest version of crafty is not on par is insane .crafty does well in my engine test vs fritz 6 ,hiarcs 7.32 and is ruthless on the others . when i first started messing around with crafty i thought it was weak ,because it was getting beat by cm6000 over and over until i seen that so was all the other chess programs i had .it was not until i bought hiarcs 7.32 that i noticed how well crafty did .i actually got mad because i wanted hiarcs to destroy crafty and it was lucky to scrape by .then when i was able to put later versions of crafty in there hiarcs started getting beat .then when i put fritz6 in there it was all over hiarcs was made to sit in the back of the bus .
