When logging on to ICC and doing a "ping" I get the message I'm not using a timestamp client. Why is it when I log on to FICS and do a ping, I get the message 3 packets sent - 3 packets lost? Something is missing somewhere. I'm not a programmer or computer expert. I'm just a customer that can barely find his way onto the internet. Operating a program should not be this difficult. If the consoles are "Pre-configured" then why don't they work already? Why do I have to try to enter a bunch of stuff which is very confusing to me? Why is the page where you tell me to enter the info for using "Timestamp" labeled "Timeseal"? Why is the directory referred to in the readme.txt as "Timestamp" really "Timeseal"? If you really want to help me you could post a simple concise procedure at your site that works. One that clearly separates timestamp and timeseal and tells exactly how to set up each since the "Pre-configured" consoles omitted this small detail. And as far as the auto232 goes, I don't believe in magical cures. The "Master" function does not work properly and that may even be due to the Chessbase GUI. I don't know but I've had other programs that can not handle the Chessbase GUI's when trying to act as Master. Jim Walker
