the  3 packets lost is meaningless, look in "help ping" its even in there
sample output. What matters is the roundtrip min/avg/max values.

for use on FICS it should be ok like it is, all you should have to do is
check the 'use timeseal' box.

timeseal is for use on FICS, this uses the timeseal.exe program
timestamp is for use on ICC, uses the timestamp.exe program
both progams are in the 'timeseal' folder.
I did send you some e-mail with some instuctions.

Could there be some problem in the Chessbase GUI, or is just the aut232
protocol flawed :)

It would be nice if there where some solid open standards.
