In the past few weeks the number of marginally off-topic posts has increased markedly. We've also had lots of threads about the election, and a few fights/controversies. I would like to ask people to try to exercise restraint regarding the marginally off-topic stuff, at least, which should be the most controllable. Fischer in particular is a subject I would like to see avoided here. As Mr. Neish says, there is plenty about this on usenet. Discussions of Fischer are apt to become extremely heated, extremely political, and have a computer chess content of approximately zero. bruce
