Fischer has played almost no games agains computer programs; what were the last ones - against Greenblat in 1977? So what's his bloody excuse on that. I just picture him saying, "I haven't refused to play the chess programs - They never came to play me!" Or "I won't play any of those *&(#$^* computer program's, because their all made by the World Jewish Conspiricy". Sorry Bruce, I just couldn't help myself on adding to the (stupid), Fischer thread. As a matter of fact, I think it was Fischer (among World Champions), who 1st vioced the concern, that programs with their large opening books, & endgame tablebases, were becomming such a match, even for the best humans that, he felt the need to create Fischer shuffle chess in retalition. And now, years later, we hear that Garry Kasparov does not want to have anything to do with a tournament were he has to play Fritz (or whatever). Of course the saddest thing for all us Fischer fans (of his chess, not anything else), is that he won't even play on the Internet Chess Club (Unless he has a secret Robert James account, & I very much doubt that), where he could prove once and for all what his chess is really like now...
