After 1.Nxh3 gxh3 2. a5 Black can try to eventually capture Bxg3 (Bg1 or >Bc7) but white's advanced queenside pawns will be lurking. Any good defense here >for black? I was horrified in the way my program completely bungled this position. I am certain there is a win for black somewhere, and at the worst a draw. Shredder's score went from +0.04 (even though it is a pawn up) to +0.96 after Be5. Insomniac's first preference (Bxh3) is obviously better, and Shredder's predicted a5 is probably the best. James
