Hi Tijs, Ok I havent had time to look at the math but what is your opinion if we not only search for the sub string from left to right but how about if a match exists going from right to left in the string. Hmmm think about it. Just trying to reduce that large value of yours for a 60 character substring. BTW if you can think of any other tricks of the trade that might be useful please mention them.
