>Anyway, I made the post announcing the draw & 2nd game at 16:43 EST, and the >post announcing the demand for forfeit at 17:25 EST, 42 minutes later. In fact >it happened sooner, while I was out of the office, and I made the "forfeit" post >when I came back and was told that the game's off because Adams wants a forfeit. The first post couldn't have been made before at least two of the phone calls I refer to because I was the one who tendered the draw offer to Adams (or to null the game and play two the next day). That accounts for some of the "missing" time. As far as I can tell, my call wasn't made until the disconnect was at least 15 minutes old since you first tried to get back on for a while before calling. I don't imagine that the second you were disconnected you called me to offer a draw. That time was waiting time for Adams, is what I mean. As also mentioned by Carol, it will be absolutely essential in the future to conference call EVERYTHING, all communications between player and organizers should be shared between both players. That would have saved a lot of time and recrimination, if not actually solved the problem. Another one for the rulebook... Saludos, Mig mig@kasparovchess.com
