You can get the menu by pressing F8 (but the timing is tight, often I do not
press the key in time), and you can also hold the Ctrl key down, and hold it
down until the menu appears.
Do that just after you hear your computer emitting a short "beep", just after it
counts its own memory size.
Better way: create a DOS box shortcut, check the "DOS mode" check box, and edit
the "config.sys" and "autoexec.bat" edit boxes.
Look into your Windows documentation about how to do that. It enables you to
reboot your computer in pure DOS mode, with exactly the CONFIG.SYS and
AUTOEXEC.BAT file you want for your programs.
This is great because you do not need to use a boot floppy disk anymore. Even if
you want a very special setup in your CONFIG and AUTOEXEC files.
It seems that very few people know about this, and it's a pity (I learned about
this only a few weeks ago). Special boot floppy disks are NOT NEEDED anymore in
W95/98.
