you can also add the statement to the C:\msdos.sys file under [Options]
"bootmenu=1"

right click on msdos.sys
click on Properties
uncheck Read-only
check Archive
click okay

right click on msdos.sys file
click on Rename
rename it msdos1.sys (or similiar)
it will ask you if you are sure
click yes
open msdos1.sys (dbl click on it)
if you are prompted to 'Open with' scroll down and chose NotePad
place cursor at end of the word [Options]
press Enter
type bootmenu=1
click on File then Save as
Save as Msdos.sys
then close it
reboot your computer
and if every-thing goes right
you will be greeted with a menu with a list of choices
you can choose Normal (to start Windows)
you can choose MS-Dos prompt (which does not start windows)
and some other choices as well...

hope this helps --- pilgrimdan
