Bill Gates should face a firing squad, yes, BUT if >you compare one buggy thing with another buggy thing, there is room to prefer >one to the other. >Fernando The main reason you have a faster defragmenter with Windows ME is due to the fact that when your PC is doing nothing for a certain amount of time, the Windows ME PC health kicks in and constantly protects you against file system errors, and file allocation errors. Thus in a way is constantly defragmenting. The actual defragmenter in Windows ME is the _exact_ same version as in Windows 98, and Windows 98 SE. The system restore is extremely helpful, as many of you know, Windows is very unstable ( as if I really had to say that ), and can definately help in the area of crashes. The only thing I have noticed from Windows ME is the fact that for some odd reason, Norton Anti-Virus detects viruses, when there is none. This is a known concern from Symantec and a fix should be out soon. As for programs, the only thing I tried to install and didn't work correctly was the Fritz 6 interface. I had to get rid of that dll, and all was fine. The Fritz 5.32 interface installed without fail.
