This group is relatively easy and problem-free, so this will be short. The hardest part is yet to come. No. 504 (Nxf4): This may be the best move, but it doesn't achieve much more than equality: 1.Nxf4 Nf3+ 2.Bxf3 Bxb2 3.Rb1 Bg7 and though Junior prefers white, I think I would take black. Recommend: Drop it. No. 539 (Qh5): Not to argue with the key move, but 1... Nf2+ 2. Kh2 Rd3 3.Qc5 (Qb4) Rxh3+ 0-1. Recommend: Add Nf2+ No. 551 (c4): It's correct. This is a pretty exercise in stalemating yourself. Recommend: No change. No. 553 (Nxf7): I get Rxf7, which probably executes the key idea in the right order. The problem with Nxf7 is Be6! Recommend: Change key to Rxf7. No. 557 (Bxh4): I get Rf3. This looks like the most forceful move. The key is also ok. Recommend: Add Rf3. No. 559 (Ng5): Again this one may be best but doesn't achieve much: 1.Ng5 Bxg5 2.Bxg5 Be6! (but not Qd4+). White gets the c-pawn for all his trouble. Recommend: Drop it. No. 560 (Nf3+): A position with dizzy complications. I find Ndc4 (+133). 1... Nf3+ 2.Rxf3 Nf5 3.Rxf5 gets about the same. I don't know what the intended line is. Recommend: Investigate. No. 562 (Nxf7): The line is 1.Nxf7 Rxf7 2.Bxf6 Bxf6 3.Rxf6. It's okay to play Bxf6 first. Recommend: Add Bxf6. No. 566 (Rxc5): I have a cook for this: Ne5! This eliminates the d6 pawn, but from the other side. Recommend: Add Ne5. No. 592 (Rxc5): I find Be3, and find that the pin on c5 does more (+351) than taking on c5. Recommend: Add Be3. No. 597 (Bf4): I find Ba3 (+115). It's a bit fuzzy. I see that Bf4 only wins a pawn. Ba3 wins an exchange, but maybe the knight will be trapped on a8. Recommend: Investigate. No. 600 (f5): I probably should try this with Hiarcs. I don't see a win after either exf5 or Kg7. Recommend: Investigate. Amir
