Because of the conditions for the event, see mr Morelands post below.

>2. Why did the Chess Tiger team only hear about this qualifier some weeks before.

See the answer above, you ´heard about the conditions the 8:th of April and in
several foras 15:th of April.

>the event started?
>3. Why did you refuse to let Chess Tiger play, even though the Tiger team very

This was two days before the event. When did you heard about a fully functioning
Tiger or Rebel which could use multiple cpus? Why didn't you told Enrique or
send him a copy of the program(s) as you know he use a dual?

>4. Why didn’t you try to find a positive solution to this matter?

He did, he asked for a working version of the program, if so Tiger had
participiated.

>5. Why did you keep on saying ‘no’, even when it became clear Chess Tiger could
>play under the conditions you wanted?

You never sent him a copy of the program, so he could see if this was a serious
thing or some kind of politics.

>6. Why did you refuse to believe that Chess Tiger could play under your
>conditions, the more because you haven’t checked this out yourself?

You can only blame yourself, you could have informed him as soon as possible,
instead of waiting one or two days before the qualification began.
>7. Do you think it is fair to exclude very strong chess programs from such an

No, of course not and you have made a lot of people, including me, disappointed
with the hiding of a SMP-Tiger.

>8. What proposal was made to the IBM team: Could they play on their own

Is this a serious question? They were offered to play on an old TRS-80 computer.

I guess he can but some people have done everything they could and a bit more
trying to hurt his reputation. In example mr Schroeder backing up mr Czubs sick
accusations against him. Forbidding Chessbase to send him the CB-Tigers and so
on. If you don't agree with mr Czubs accusations it IS ALLOWED to say so instead
of hiding.

Can't answer for Enrique, but I am very sorry for this and I'm particularly
sorry that we can't see Tiger compete.
