This can be done by changing the room's "wallpaper". Just go to "Preferences ->
Wallpaper" and choose the "Gradient" option. You can also make the gradient any
solid color, by making Color 1 and Color 2 be the same color.

This can be done with the Custom Board.

This option will be available via the new true-3D sets that are going to be in
the next version.

Not likely to happen, sorry....

This might be possible, although it would slow things down fairly noticeably
(about 2% of the CPU time would be lost to do this, as the process of converting
the output from the engine into the formatted output with move numbers takes
about 20ms, and it occurs once per second).

The program uses its own font so that it (the program) can have maximum control.
Since everything visual is very customized and precise, there is no way we can
allow the user to change the font.

No offense, but we've been over this MANY MANY times. It's ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED
and is handled exactly the same way in Winboard (one engine for White and one
engine for Black). The only addition for CM was the "Mentor" engine, and there
will be better user notification in the next version to tell user when that
engine is active.
