I new to writing a chess engine and am looking for advice. So far I have a program that lists all possible moves and I am useing the code to generate every possible position ten(or so) from now. My question is what type of things do you look for in a position to consider it favorable. I see chess engines come up with better moves and faster when compared to other good chess engines so I know there being better must have something to do with this function Any advice? kalluminati2001@yahoo.com
