It's different, but since the english grammar is simpler, it should be possible
to write something like an approximation of a correct english grammatical
structure, as soon as someone has a bit of a feeling for the language. IOW,
something people have a chance to understand. But I'm afraid it can get lost, if
people don't regularly hear or read english language.

Sometimes I liked to listen to the original soundtrack of US tv sitcoms...
unfortunately, now the tv station prefers to send the stereo sound instead of
the second channel with original language.

But anyway, I kept in touch, partially due to various computer and program docs
which often were only available in english.

But I know I must be somewhat lazy with the details, because I made an online
language skills test once, and the result was inferior. Desastrous. :o)

But for online translations, I think this one is a bit better than Babelfish:
