Its due to a bug in the Fritz8 GUI. It seems to effect machines with at least 1GB of memory. As was mentioned awhile in a previous thread here there is a unreleased fix for it on the Chessbase playchess server at the following URL http://www.playchess.com/updates/GUI8.iup Just place this file in your Fritz8 folder C:\Program Files\ChessBase\ChessProgram8 then run the program IUpgrade in the Fritz8 folder Bill
