Hi,

the Triple Brain feature is supported also by the latest Shredder versions (but
only in Shredder "Classic" GUI). I quote from Shredder help:

"This is a new concept which allows you to combine two chess engines and get the
best out of both.
After you click "Triple Brain" you can select two engines for the team. During
the game both engines will analyse the position, while a third program will
decided which or the two lines is the best. This is done by examining the output
of both engines to find out which has a better understanding of the current
position.
In Triple Brain mode Shredder will display an additional score between 0 and
100%, showing how sure the selection module is about its choice. 0% means that
is impossible to tell which move is better, 100% means that one move is clearly
better.
Ideally the engines participating in a Triple Brain team should have a different
playing styles, but should be similar in playing strength.".

I've tested some Triple Brain "combinations" in a test suite called "WM-Test"
(100 test positions à 20 minutes):
- Shredder 7 + CM9000 (Pillen settings)
- Shredder 7 + Ruffian 1.0.1
- Shredder 6.02 + Gandalf 5.1
- Aristarch 4.8 + SOS.3 for Arena.
My results of "Triple Brain Shredder 6.02 + Gandalf 5.1" compared with the
results of the single tested engines in "WM-Test" you'll find as EXCEL sheet
(including my results of 140 tested engines) at

Regards,
Manfred
