To break ties, the Sonneborn-Berger method was used, where each 'tied'
player scores his "SB points" by adding as follows:

A = 100% of his opponent's points if he won the individual game,
B = 50% of his opponent's points if he drew the individual game,
C = 0% of his opponent's points if he lost the individual game.

The "Sonneborn-Berger" value is A+B+C

We take an example from the crosstable below. Maiwald and Cyborowski are tied
for 2nd and 3rd with 14 points. To compute Maiwald's SB points we first add the
scores of the opponents he beat: A = 10 + 9 + 4 = 23, then we add 50% of the
scores of the opponents he drew: B = (14 + 12 + 11 + 9 + 3)*½ = 24½ and 0% of
the opponent scores he lost to is always C = 0 irrespective of the number of
losses. Now A + B + C = 23 + 24½ + 0 = 47½. By similar calculation, Cyborowski
has 46½ SB points, so Maiwald wins on tiebreaks.
