Martin (one of the posters who responded has rating of 2250 based on my memory). I also think that crafty has better knowledge than a lot of amateurs and I plan to learn from crafty(there are a lot of things in Crafty that I still never tried to evaluate like knight outposts). I basically evaluate knight and bishop as more than 3 pawns(otherwise I may get bad trades of rook and pawn against bishop and knight) I may add later a code of bad trade if I see that it is significant practical problem but I prefer to do it based on the values that I have and not based on some 1 3 5 values.
