I actually started the commodore 64 and GW-Basic, and taught myself all the
BASIC languages up through VB 6. I was reluctant to learn C/C++, and now I'm
kind of skipping to VB.Net to avoid C altogether :) I have picked up enough to
be able to read and get the gist of C and C++ and will be using that to help me
in this project though.

No, this will be my first engine. I've dabbled in it before, but never really
put forth the effort to really do it. As such, I know a bit of the terminology
and such, but it's still pretty new.

>Will your engine be heavily object-oriented?
Yes, because my lack of experience is almost forcing me to look to OOP to
provide guidelines for the structure. I'll probably wind up completely
rebuilding it a few times, but for now it will be very OO.

I should also note that I'm a computer science major, so this is a way for me to
learn and practice what i'm getting in my classes too.
