I think Don was trying to make a point which you missed entirely.  If Adolf
Hitler were still alive and asked to join the group, I think the operators would
have to think long and hard before letting a person of that nature in.  Even
berfore he ever made a *single* post, he would be prejudged because of what
others already knew about him.  I am not saying that you are like Adolf Hitler,
far from it.  That is just an illustration.  But the point is a dog that has
once bitten, even in a different neighborhood, will be viewed with great
suspicion, in much the same way that "even an ass" is half an anagram.
"seen as van" being the obvious other half.
