3 may help in game but unfortunately I am afraid it does not help to solve

1.Qxf4 Bxf4 2.Rxh5 gxh5 is part of the line that you need to see.

black has a winning capture on the piece that delivers the checkmate(2....gxh5)
but unfortunately 2.Rxh5 is still the right move.
