I think >I am looking for an excuse! Human beings have arms, hands and fingers Chess was intended to be played with PIECES that we can hold and touch the manner in which we make the move physically is part of the enjoyment of the battle in a tactical position when we sac a piece we do so with a certain "Flair" that sends a message to our opponent We "Slam" the piece down in an act of defiance too join the battle and fight the good fight .. in time pressure we "Slide"OR Glide" pieces across the board(not wanting to waste even nano seconds lifting and replacing ) when we have a winning move we "screw" the piece into the board putting the proverbial" Final nail in the coffin" beginners place a finger on the top of a piece after moving it,and then shift and contort their bodies around this "piece and hand" combination so see how things "look" in his new position contrast all of this to a pc screen and a mouse.. there is no Flair of the sac no time pressure "sliding"and "Gliding" no "screwing" of the pieces no hand-piece combination no,instead we are clicking mouses like we are desk clocks and pieces are simply disappearing and reappearing like in a Space Invaders video game a queen sac into the a nest of hostile pawns (and perhaps the only successful Queen sac in a players life)is the same as a quiet little A3 or H3 King Luft Mating an opponent with 1.3 seconds left on the clock with a Sweeping Rook move across 8 files to rest on the opponents back rank ..is the same as the first move pieces appear and disappear..blinking on and off the screen not the way GOD(Caissa) intended chess to be played at all and perhaps the MOST important difference of all... their is no such thing as a MOUSESLIP Best Steve
