I think so. An engine usually cannot move before it has finished the first iteration (depth 1) and there is often also a delay when it communicates with the interface. Another lag occurs when playing on the internet, but I think that most servers compensate for that (ICS does as far as I know). The delays should be small but in long games the total delay can become considerable. The only solution is playing with a small increment. Martin
