no of course not
in fact i would love it if you strung the tournament out to last through the
holidays right up till New Years Day
with all of these Rybka posts the CCC has gotten very boring lately
:))

nice observtion!

but it dosent surprise me actually
by 1997 the SSDF was mainly interested in the PC programs and dedicated
computers took second fiddle evn if a new one came along

Ruud had to beg the SSDF to test the Res and to my knowledge they still havent
tested it..although i think he mentioned they agreed to do so

I'm so
>busy moving pieces, even doing just one game at a time that I'm not sure if it's
>my head or the chess boards that are spinning!

believe me i know the work involved
when i play tested the Res-Ruffian and Res-Fruit 05 against the Tasc's and other
computers it was hard work
especially when i pitted Res-Ruffian against Res-Fruit 05.i had to write down
the moves because there was no feature for the Res to show the game score
thankfully this has now been corrected in the 2.06 bug fix

i know some collectors on .INFO that actually have 2-3 matches going at the same
time..thats 4-6 computers at once
i have no idea how they can do this with any degree of sanity

i think what happens when you play more then one game at a time..the other units
are sitting there waiting for you to make the move and all the while the engines
are pondering

i think its not so reliable the results when that happens

best way for a true test of strength is one game at a time(IMO)

Best Steve
