That means that he is not interested in finding investors, or convincing anybody that Deep Thought was a good program. If this is the case (Hsu left) not only he doesnt need to prove anything, he even shouldnt prove anything. Incidentally, it seems reasonable to assume that today's programs are slightly better than DT, since DT was running at 750,000 nodes/second (similar speed to Deep Junior, Ferret on multiprocessor and so on) and todays programs evaluations are probably better. If DT was ranked at 2550, this should be the rating for todays programs, not taking into account possible modern anti-computer practices that effectively rise the level of play of humans against machines.
