Sorry, but I do not think that this is a good idea. For instance, we often have
several threads in parallel about programming subjects. So, just one thread
wouldn't be appropriate.

Besides, I can say that by brief inspection of the thread subject strings, I can
quickly decide whether I'm interested. BTW, there may also be some programming
issues which I am not interested in; so I would like to omit opening that
thread.

I should suggest to continue managements of threads as used to be. If reasonable
subjects strings are chosen, you can easily check if you are interested in this.
(IMO, the subjects which had been chosen have been very helpful in most cases.)
