It's not just CSS, it's other magazines as well.

I'm pretty unhappy with the computer chess press.  A bad review can be
in the financial best interest of the reviewer, and can be devastating
to the author of a new program.

I like Stefan and I like Shredder.  I think he got screwed by several of
these magazines, and by several others who state their unconsidered
opinions loudly.  I think that his good performance this year is a clue
that his program does belong -- it plays strong and nice looking chess.
Those who have attempted to destroy him should be ashamed of themselves.
