Not everyone opens their own "Intelligent Chess Forum" somewhere else where they can hurl abuse at "those bean counting b------s" with impunity, possibly to release some of their inner frustration. When such a person makes a sudden comeback -- after being banned earlier this year -- just a day or two after someone else was expelled for not wanting to reveal his real name, can we be forgiven for feeling a bit suspicious? He hadn't contravened the charter at that point (except by opening an account while he was still technically banned), but we have reasons to believe he may have his own agenda. If a club member tries to subvert the club, what do you do with him? Some people responded to his initial posts -- I was one of them. It seems that others were also willing to give a chance. But his style quickly degenerated, and finally he shot himself in the foot, as someone else said. So rather than believe the moderators treated him unfairly in getting rid of him, I think people were remarkably generous in giving him a chance to join us again (remember he was banned) in our discussions. When it was clear that he was up to no good, the moderators acted quickly and decisively, and well done. Mike.
