There is a disagreement about this question.
The programmer of Deep Junior believe that Deep Junior can beat Deeper blue in a
match.

I simply do not know.
There is no clear evidence to say.

The programmers of Deeper blue claim to see 17 plies brute force but I am not
sure if to believe it.

I do not say that they lie but there may be bugs in Deeper blue that Hsu does
not know about.

I also do not know if the extensions of Deeper blue are better than the
extensions of other programs so it is possible that other programs can outsearch
them.

I do not know about a move that proves their tactical superiority in the games
against kasparov.

I can be convinced that they are better in tactics if someone show me good moves
of Deeper blue from games that other program need many hours to find.

I am interested in games and not in test positions like the nolot test.

Unfortunately they did all their tests secret before the match against kasparov
so we cannot know.
