chris, that was funny. but the first chance i get, i will upgrade to the new dual athlon motherboards, with the dual athlon mb--you should get a minimum of 3 gig mhz, or sys.com is advertising a new 1.6 at their site (kyro), dual 1 gigs are all over the internet, i have (dual processor) diep, dj, and will get deep shredder as soon as it is available, i also have most of the single proc. programs. i have ordered rebel 11, the new millinium package, cm8000, and i have the powerbook, nalimov and ken thompsons tbs. i see that the 1.5 gig p4 is available on the internet. this should be available with a dual mb by jan. or feb. with a 3 gig dual setup with my dj---you should get about 1650 kns. like i said, when i read about all this hardware, i start sweating, and then i call my boss and tell him i need to work some overtime. i dont do drugs and i dont drink thunderbird, but i enjoy these programs, and overclocking my processor to see how it responds. my 1050 is boring because i want to see what gambit-tiger will do running on an 1800 mhz k7 or k8 with about 4 sticks of 128 megs of the new ddr ram. i am very aware that there is more to comp chess than just hardware, and i am very aware of the accomplishments of robert, chris, amar, shay, stefan, ed, etc., but i am having a blast.
