Why should anyone do as if these games didn't exist? The games were not played manually and they were not played with the common auto232 interface. There is a public demand by Ed that ALL programs should use the auto232 interface. ChessBase Fritz5 too ! This seems to me a very realistic and sensible proposal. Of course the games of the ChessBase-autoplayer cannot be counted, since they were not outplayed by an autoplayer that was confirmed by participants (all other auto232 programs). It is very obvious WHY the games cannot be counted. The reason the programs should use the auto232 player by chrilly donninger is to give ssdf-list a trustable and honorable status back. Without any doubts. If you would use the results of the ChessBase autoplayer-games, the problems would be follow due to adding them. What is your problem ? If fritz is as good as you claim, and the ChessBase autoplayer is the same as auto232, than the results of Fritz5 will be the same 1st rank ! Nobody would have a problem seeing Fritz5 on first rank outplayed with an auto232-interface ! >>Or the games played by the Fritz5 autoplayer are not counted. The code for 16 or 32 bit should not be the problem. I don't think the code is as tricky as chess-algorithms. >After Ed proved the autoplayer F5 is clean, what do you have left to >demand that games autolayed by F5 should not count for rating purposes? >And again you insist in making another false point. I don't see that Ed has PROVED something. I demand what I demand. It is not up to you to tell me what I demand. You can comment on this. As you have done. This is all Enrique. Not more. Not less. I insist in my ideas because I believe I am right. You can insist in your ideas. But don't tell me how I do have to think. Thanks. >You know, when argumentations fall on their nose and some hold on to >them as for dear life, what is left is not a discussion any longer but a >campaign of discredit. The miscredit is selfmade. When Mercedes cinstructs a car and the car falls on the NOSE, this cannot be a campaign of journalists. The workers at Mercedes have made the mistake. The journalists do only publish the pictures of a mercedes on the NOSE. ChessBase has decided not to support the auto232 interface although there is o need to do so. All other programmers support this interface. ChessBase acted against the common sense. The miscredit comes from actions. ChessBase is in charge of their own actions. >Enrique A campaign is that you call me launching a campaign because of whatever reasons. I would also have fought against CSTAL if chris would lead the list with a special-autoplayer-device and special hardware etc. YOU claim that I am doing it for personal reason. This is an offense. There is no need for offending people. Or not here.
