First of all, I think it is very likely that Deep Junior is stronger than Shredder even on a single processor system. Why is DJ not given a chance to prove it is also the best on single CPU systems? After all, you can't go out and claim that Shredder is "the best" without letting DJ have a crack at it ;) I don't understand the rules for the hardware, of cause DJ is stronger than Shredder on Dual, but in principle what would stop me from dragging in a Cray and kick DJ *ss and claim the title? Would that mean my program was the best - certainly not. I say you would need to run the programs on exactly the same hardware to find the best program, otherwise the hardware could be the decisive factor. Yes that would mean more than one tournament, and DJ would need to run on a single CPU system when attending the single CPU category. BTW: what is the reason that Fritz did not participate? Last I heard Deep Fritz beat Deep Junior, so DJ would need to beat DF to claim the title, would it not? Thanks for a great board, I really enjoy reading all this stuff ;) -Sune
