KK, I did tell you that you must have commented on Crafty-Comet too
soon, too hastily, with an irrelevant sample (60 moves in one
minute???). I am rather sure that you jumped the gun again regarding
the compatibility of both Crafty and Comet with Winboard. I pit them vs
each other without a hitch, and have included Exchess, Olipow, TCB, Gnu,
and the console version of Patzer as well. All this on Win 95... Of
course, NT does demand some fine-tuning, but you should explore all the
possibilites first. I just wish Uli would add support for the best line
display, and, perhaps, the book option. Roland has already done that
and it makes the the whole thing so much more enjoyable... Patzer and
Comet do seem to be two main contenders at slower time limits (5 min per
game further on) for Crafty. Up to 5 min per game TCB is just great!
Gnu isn't bad either, but both TCB and Gnu seem to lose impact at slower
controls.

BTW, a friend of mine has started testing Virtual II vs Comet A.90
(console)at 30 min per game, machine: Cyrix 200+ / 32 MB. Here are the
first two games (in an email he said that the first two games of Comet
vs Fritz 5 ended 1-1, a win per each):
