Even if Ed did what you say and just took email addresses from here,
thing he say he has not done, I don't see the reason for such an outcry
like yours. The word "exploit a position" seems to be somewhat
exagerated. And also to qualify his post as "junk". I received the very
same email -I am susbcribed in the list provided by Ed in his home page-
and I prefer to evaluate it as information: I have been informed of a
commercial offer, yes, but that is still information and beside there
are many others things that are of benefice for me me. Information about
a match that is free to see, information about Rebel decade that is free
to get, information about a file with Vishy games that is free to
download. Frankly, I don't think all that to be horrible spams neither
is Ed with a pistol in our chest coercing us to buy his program that
probably all here already have since a lot time ago.
I think is not fair to be so pure with respect to the scattered
commercial concerns that some people can have here. If Amir post me
about a new Junior version I will not see that with bad eyes, but as an
information that can be useful. The same if Steve ever put here a
comuniqué telling us that this or that product is on rebate. Why is that
so awful and unacceptable? We are here posting each other with
programmers but we should go to another site to know if something new is
available from them?
Of course all is a matter of degrees. If this site was plentiful of
advertising your point would be worth of some debate, but then it would
unnecesary. Nobody need to be warned in such a condition. Actually you
rarely could see a post with a hint of commercial interest. And, I
insist, I think acceptable the very existence of that commercial
interest HERE as much in any other site.

Now I suppose that because of these words you will think with greater
force that I don't deserve to be considered as pure guy to be a
moderator. I would like you to explain that statement of your that put
all of us but Thosrten in a doubtful light.
