Thanks for the link. Personally I use a hp jornada 547 with a 256 meg flash card. The processor isn't as powerfull as ipaqs but it does it all(I also use it to play books on "tape" from audible.com and music) I can't say the battery life has been a big problem. I have used chess genius for long periods of time. I would guess at least 4 hours constantly. This is an estimate because I usually can only use it for shorter periods of time. I just bring my charger at night and also have a car charger for long car rides - listening to music and books. I always make sure I turn it off when not using it. I just bought pocket fritz. I hope PF is not the reason for the short battery life on ipaqs. If palms can do trouble freesyncs with my calendar play music, audible books, and a better game of chess I'd probably get one until then no way.
