maybe the multiple-variant mode is implemented differently. In normal play I
didn't notice any difference.

That's correct. Pawn in Hiarcs 6/DOS=128, pawn in Hiarcs 6/Fritz=1.00

in non-multiple-variant mode, analysis should be exactly the same

different hash table sizes usually lead to slightly different results
