It may also mean mate in 100 moves because the opponent is also not perfect.

Today a lot of tournaments are played with no increasment so there is not going
to be time delay if fide decide not to use the 50 move rule.

There are going to be other problems when one side simply wins on time in a
tablebases position inspite of not knowing how to win.
