I think it is a program that is difficult to evaluate. It is really killing
other programs on ICC. Yet I also watched it lose 2 and draw 1 game vs a
well-known IM there (cptnbluebeard in a single 3 game match. Granted, 3 games
is not much of a sample, but it simply got rolled up on king-side attacks in
both of the losses, and if it had been running in an automatic mode it probably
would have lost several more. This is a common attacking style that takes some
work to solve, which is why I think the auto-interface to a server is so
important. Because then you can't stop a match after getting smacked twice,
you have to stop getting smacked instead.

So, an interesting question for discussion is "what makes Junior so very strong
vs computers and yet fall to a standard king-side pawn storm?"

For the record, Crafty is +58, -11, =27 against this player, while Ferret is
+19, -0(!), =11 against him. So cptnbluebear is not a patzer for sure. It
seems to be another transitivity issue. But one thing is for certain, Junior
is *very* strong against computers. *very* strong.
