I get the idea that you'd spend a lot of time looking at games you played in the autoplayer. I don't spend much time looking at the ones I get from ICC, in many cases I don't see them at all. I often watch games as they are being played, and I get some ideas from this, but it is not like I am spending lots of time trying to analyze every game. No particular point here other than that I think some people have been thinking about doing the ICC thing because I do it, so they should know that most of the reason I do it is that it is fun, pure and simple. If you wanted to get long time control games there, the odds that you could get them against a strong human are very low. If you wanted to play anything at tournament time controls you'd probably either play a low rated player or some guy who is using a computer whether or not he admits it. Mine has played 962 rated standard games over a period of almost four years, almost all are 30 0 or thereabouts, and almost all are against computers or people who later turn out to have been cheating with a computer. I think ICC is mainly for blitz, but as I have said, it is fun, and from this standpoint I recommend it to everyone. bruce
