If you're talking about ratings vs. other computers, the P90 ratings on the SSDF list are probably close to P120. I have played many matches with Fritz on my P133 Toshiba notebook vs. other programs (Genius 5, Shredder 2, Hiarcs 6, Rebel 9, M-Chess 6 and 7.1) on P166 and Fritz (with PowerBooks) scored about 60%, so it seems to profit more from P200MMX (70% at the SSDF, although it played also against some weaker opponents there). Hash tables are important, though, I have 80 MB in my notebook and Fritz 5 played with 60 MB hash tables. Anything below 16 MB hash tables (i.e.: at least 32 MB RAM) will probably not be enough to achieve maximum playing strength. If you want the best program against humans at longer time controls (i.e. 30-60 minutes per game on P120, even better 40/120), my choice still is Rebel - you might either opt for the new Rebel 10 or maybe get Rebel 9 at a bargain price. Extremely recommended (besides the other 2 "classics" you mentioned) is the new entry Junior 5: Since it's very fast and plays nice positional chess, it ought to be about as good as you can get on slower hardware like P120. Finally, my educated guess (as promised ...): Fritz 5 on P120 with 32 MB hash tables - about 2500 SSDF ELO Rebel 9 on P120 with 13 MB hash tables - about 2450 SSDF ELO Junior 5 on P120 with 16 MB hash tables - maybe >2500 SSDF ELO Moritz
