Agreed!  But, please bear in mind that you will be able to lay your hands on a
Linux native Ruffian rather soon (may be at Yuletide :-).  And it will run under
Xboard just fine.  And it will be (probably) one of the two best chess programs
for Linux.  Nice, ain't it?
