I pretty much agree with what you say below, but their is a limit to what moderater's can do, and what should be left to the various posters discretion and common sence. Just one example, there were a couple of things I found troubling about Shaun; 1. He seemed on a personal 'mission' to prove some (many) negatives about ICD. Even if he is/were right, there was no reason to be on a personal vendetta, as he seemed to be. And certainly his structuring of his argument could have been more carefully worded. 2. Just because some posters post against your view, hell, even agianst you, does not require you get into an unending personal herumph, in an attempt to prove their logic faulty and them wrong. Throwing in stuff, like Calling Crafty, Crappy is also a waste of everyones time. (I believe, the consenses of many). Having made the above two statements, does not mean that I am against Shaun having a pasword here or that I think his view unimportant. Nor do I hope for him to 'attack' me, in rec.games.chess.computer. once he does see this post But that would have to be #3 Shaun will see this post and feel compelled to attack me in some way for it. Again, totally unnecessary! All in all, all poster's on this foram should remember that though we are all involved in computer chess in some way, it being the Internet, there are people from all walks of life here; Young and old, Brilliant and ordinary (like myself), and from Europe & America (mostly). Everybody should remember that when having a dissagreement, not everyone speaks, 'the same language', even though written in English, and lighten up. mrslug - the inkompetent chess software addict!
