Quite true. Here in Brazil, apart from the really rich companies, 386's and 486's are the norm. Even a few innovative (for Rio) newstands control their sales and inventory with a low-end machine. Besides, the future of OSs seems to be either limited to bloatware or Linux (though music program specialists seem to like beOS). Time will tell.
