You can turn off the voice-annotated illegal move commentary in the "Sound..."
menuitem under the "Environment" menu. In the Sound dialog, choose the "Piece
Movement" tab, and then uncheck the "Illegal Move Commentary" checkbox.

Also, how can you say that Chessmaster 6000 is in the 2250-2300 range when it
has been shown here, on more than one occasion, to beat programs that have been
rated at or above 2500 (e.g. Junior 5.0, rated in the 2570-2610 range on
high-end PCs)?

Chessmaster 5000 was SSDF rated at 2387 on a Pentium 90, and someone here (Odell
Hall, rated at 2280) just stated that Chessmaster 4000 beat him "convincingly"
in a 6-game match (4.5-1.5)! Quite a few people have stated that CM6000's engine
is noticeably better than previous versions of Chessmaster. I have no doubt
that, on a high-end PC, CM6000 will be rated at least 2550.
