Well, you need to be precise before making any critic:

SSDF is testing Shredder 8 CB and Shredder 7.04 UCI

1. Shredder 8 CB is using CB interface, which slow down the program a little
cvompared to UCI and has a different learning feature too
2. The opening book has 2 reading mode in CB version as the tournament one is
the std. book selection of UCI gui. This means that a wider range openings/moves
are selected in this mode, so moves which are not really strong are played too
reducing the strenght by some points.

I have said that Shredder 8 CB is the update of Shredder 7.04 CB and Shredder 8
UCI is the update of Shredder 7.04 UCI

SSDF did not test Shredder 8 UCI, even if we asked, so it is not my fault if
they did not.

P.N.
I have explained how I did estimate the strenght based on the Classic interface
and how much was related to the book and the different learning too.

I did also pointed out that they were INDICATIVE estimates as my interest is not
to find out how much stronger is a new program/engine as but to make better
books for the next outcoming version.

As soon as a new version is released I am working on the next one/tournament
book version (the future).

Who tested Shredder 8 UCI did admit it is stronger than Shredder 8 CB, so I do
not see any :-) to be deserved or not?

This time however there are not estimate made by me...the fun will be left to
you all:-))
