Hello Thomas,

your point of view is clear, but it is simply a matter of fact,
that it is not up to you. There are people who play with your toga betas online,
on the chessbase server for example, and this cannot be called private.
I think that is easy. So the only solution is: Publish any and every code
for every version someone gets to play with it . Annoying, maybe, but on the
other hand,
it is not really a problem: Many fans have some webspace, and there are the
"usual suspects" ;-), too, like Leo, Dann, and quite some others, you can even
send it to me, as a bad and not very powerful solution, an update every week
would not be a problem, I think, and everything is ok.
But the solution you have chosen, with publishing just the half way, to say so,
is really not a very good choice, and clearly against the GPL.
Strength does not matter in this context, so you dont have to wait until you
find some
great improvement, that is not relevant for complying with GPL.

So it is quite easy to comply: just ask some nice person to host the
regular code updates, whenever there are any, and you and the fans of Toga
can have fun.

(ok, there was one thing: Fabien had asked you to publish a, hm, let me say,
cleaned up version, with all the options from Fruit restituted etc.
This version should come out soon, without any regard of additional
improvements,
it would be good for keeping peace).

kind regards
Peter
